BRIMUNdaily

BRIMUN 2010 cannot only be a great experience for you as a delegate but also from the viewpoint of the fourth power, the media! Become a member of the team for our conference-newspaper BRIMUNdaily, published every day as an outlet for news from the conference and world-politics as well as intelligent, creative and lively entertainment. You can work as a writer, editor or photographer together with other committed young journalists and explore the world of BRIMUN as a true insider with the chance to visit all committees and activities related to the conference.

We want to create an interesting, entertaining and off-the-mainstream newspaper and you will have the opportunity to learn a lot about writing, layout and the development of a print medium. Our team is responsible for everything from researching to printing and distribution - and we need every helping hand! The paper itself is issued every morning to participants of the conference and will have the format of a booklet, including about twelve pages designed by two experienced layouters.

As a writer, you are very free to research on topics you are interested in and always have the support of more experienced young journalists if you encounter difficulties. Stories can be about BRIMUN itself just as about real world news and also pieces of creative writing can be incorporated to a certain extend. If you prefer to work in the overall conception of the newspaper more than as a reporter, you can join our team as an editor and help to set themes, proof-read and make BRIMUNdaily strike the right note. Also photographers are more than welcome to get involved and explore the diverse views on the conference. You do not need to be highly experienced in working for a newspaper. All you need is curiosity, fun at working in a team and the motivation to work at often odd hours but with great people!

For BRIMUN 2009, the BRIMUNdaily Team issued five editions in the morning of every conference day. Missing a copy? Download it here!
