Invitation from the Secretary and Director General
Dear Delegates and Advisors,
We would like to take this opportunity to cordially invite you to attend BRIMUN 2010 this coming spring!
Resources and Energy- The topic of BRIMUN 2010 promises not only exciting, but also demanding discussions, which are going to challenge every individual delegate to think on their feet and respond to unforeseen events in their role as representatives of a specific country. This theme not only addresses current global issues, which concern every citizen on a daily basis, but is also going to encompass all committees and a wide range of discussion from energy security to poverty.
We are convinced that our conference- BRIMUN 2010- is a unique one among other Model United Nations. Not only the outstanding individual approach and hospitality, which we offer to every delegate, but also the focus on a broad but very distinct theme allows us to tailor all aspects of BRIMUN towards that concept. We will offer our delegates and delegations a high level of debate and will make use of a wide variety of approaches to challenge every participant. The theme ties all committees at BRIMUN together and, thereby, increases the quality of inter-committee exchange through delegations and across countries.
Another distinctive feature of our conference is the “Crisis”. The centrality of this key part of BRIMUN is hardly seen in any other conference. Exciting and unforeseeable events will provoke every participant to rethink their strategies and to break new grounds.
For those reasons, we believe that BRIMUN is on the forefront of MUNs around the world.
BRIMUN 2010 will incorporate the following committees: Security Council, UN Human Rights Council, 4th Committee of the General Assembly (Special Political and Decolonization Committee), Economic and Social Council, UN Environmental Program and the International Court of Justice.
This year we have also enlarged our capacities to welcome many more delegates from all corners of the world, thereby, adding more diversity to our conference. BRIMUN is a special opportunity to get to know new people, widen your horizon and get in touch with multi-facetted cultures from all over the globe. We have designed an exciting and thrilling social program to meet fellow delegates. Throughout all nights of the conference, you will have access to great parties, relaxing chill-outs, intriguing guest lectures, and tasteful restaurant dinners -all offered by our conference.
The BRIMUN organizing team is constantly working to make the most of BRIMUN 2010 in order to meet the highest expectations of our participants. We have always received great feedback from our past delegates and have been praised by the high degree of professionalism we have demonstrated. We will be honored to greet you on the campus of Jacobs University Bremen from the 28th of March to the 1st of April 2010; an unforgettable experience awaits you!
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions!
