The BRIMUN 2009 Team

BRIMUN is developed by a team of highly committed students and MUN enthusiasts. Those listed below are the leaders of many of the organizational committees that compose the BRIMUN team. Behind them, there are several minds that have dedicated much of their time to create our future conference. These are the people behind BRIMUN 2009!

Secretary General

Andrés Navarrete Berges, Venezuela

My name is Andrés and I am currently a 2nd year majoring in Integrated Social Sciences. My passion for MUN began in high-school and I have ever since been involved in numerous MUN conferences all across South America and Europe. I am currently leading a highly committed team that will surely make of BRIMUN an extraordinary experience, both socially and intellectually. I look forward to meet you all in April 2009!

Director General

Yonca Dege, Germany / Turkey

As I started my studies in Integrated Social Sciences, I was introduced to the concept of Model United Nations. I was immediately fascinated by how MUN conferences combined work and pleasure. You acquire crucial skills concerning politics and rhetoric and at the same time make friends with people from all over the world. That is why I enthusiastically embrace the challenge of being responsible for the conference organisation.  As the Director General I will always answer any of your questions and look forward to welcoming you at BRIMUN 2009!

Under-Director General for Conference Affairs

Dominique Klawonn, Germany

I am Dominique, a second year student in Integrated Social Sciences. I was part of the organization BRIMUN 2008 and this year I decided to head Conference Affairs and make BRIMUN 2009 a great success. Exchange of ideas and having a good time at the conference are the most important aspects for me.
The theme of BRIMUN 2009 "How far would you go for Democracy?" hopes for lively and possibly heated discussions with input from delegates with very different backgrounds.

Under-Director General for Social Affairs

Wiebke Drews, Germany

Do you want to relax after a long conference? Do you want to party and make that night unforgettable? Do you want to dance and sing? I will fuel your night fever! I am Wiebke, 19, and a first year student majoring in Integrated Social Sciences. Responsible for Social Affairs, my team and I are organizing the events in the evenings and an awesome Berlin Trip that you should not miss. If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact me! Looking forward to meeting you all!
